The Overton Manor

HISTORY

Built in 1955 when North York was developed as part of the first planned suburb in Canada, setting the architectural suburban model standard for mid-century residential neighbourhood developments in Toronto.

One of the first occupants was jazz drummer Ed Thigpen from the Oscar Peterson trio.

The property was purchased by the Mary and Joseph Dobis in April 1958.
